The Amy Carlson Volleyball Scholarship was created in memory of long-time student-athlete and coach Amy Carlson. Amy was passionate about providing Volleyball-related opportunities for underprivileged youth who share her love for the game.
As a setter in high school, she lead her team to its first and only state championship in 1989. She went on to play college volleyball at K-State and Emporia State, where she earned her B.S. in Biology and Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. At the conclusion of her collegiate career, she coached at Baker University in Baldwin, KS, Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri - where she was named KCAC Coach of the Year - and St. Theresa’s Academy in Kansas City, Missouri.
Eligible applicants must be a current high school Senior looking to continue their volleyball career at a college or university in the upcoming fall semester.
