Amy Jo Carlson, was involved in the volleyball community in Kansas and Missouri for decades. From her high school years of winning a state championship, being a setter at Kansas State and Emporia State, then transitioning into coaching at the college, club and high school levels. Amy has impacted thousands of lives with volleyball. Coach Carlson did have a winning record, but it was about more than winning. She used volleyball as a platform to teach her athletes to always be their best and respect one another, values that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
To continue Amy’s impact to the Mo-Kan community, we have created the Amy Carlson Memorial Volleyball Scholarship. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support for volleyball players who are disadvantaged or experiencing financial hardship.
